BETHEL – The Oxford County Democrats will meet on Thursday, Nov. 13, at Telstar Regional High School on Route 26. There will be a potluck supper at 5:30 p.m. in Room 106. Attendees are asked to bring a hot dish, salad or dessert to share. The business meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m.
County Democratic Chairperson Cathy Newell expects that the agenda will focus on preparation for the Feb. 8 caucus meetings including planning for locations, which may include some regional groupings. Other business will include a report on the Governor’s Night events in October in Rumford, status of candidate recruitment, plans for the Acadian Night fund-raiser scheduled Nov. 21 and information from the 2004 convention committees.
State Sen. Bruce Bryant and Reps. John Patrick and Rosita Gagne-Friel will report on the upcoming legislative session.
The Oxford County Democrats welcome all who share Democratic values to their meetings, she said. Anyone who would like to be included in activities but is unable to attend the meeting can contact Newell at 875-2116 or cathyn@megalink.net.
