PARIS – Oxford County Democrats concluded their season of booths at various events throughout Oxford County with the Showcase at Oxford Hills on Oct. 25. The free raffle and straw poll attracted voters throughout the event.

Former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean garnered 34 percent of the vote, followed by retired Gen. Wesley Clark with 24 percent, Sen. John Kerry with 15 percent, Sen. Joe Lieberman and Rep. Richard Gephardt tied at 9 percent, followed by former Sen. Carol Moseley-Braun and Rep. Dennis Kucinich tied at 3 percent, and the Rev. Al Sharpton and Sen. John Edwards at 1 percent. Hank Burns was the winner of the raffle prize which was a book and CD by the Capitol Steps.
