1925-2003

LEWISTON – Florence Marie Tremblay, 78, of 9 Johnson St., went home to be with her lord, Nov. 2, at her residence following a long illness.

She was born in Lewiston, Feb. 3, 1925 the daughter of Albert and Mattie (Veilleux) Henry. Florence attended local schools and graduated from Thorn’s Corner School. During World War II she worked in the shipyard in Portland. For many years she worked as a waitress in local area restaurants and also cleaned houses.

In 1941, she married her beloved husband, Raymond J. Tremblay, at the Holy Family Church. She was a member of the Holy Family Church all of her life. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, hunting, fishing, gardening and flowers. Florence had a special gift for helping her neighbors, friends or strangers. She loved children and animals, especially cats. Her wish was fufilled- born in her own home, and went to Heaven from her own home, surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by: a daughter, Nathalie M. Beaudoin of Lewiston; two sons, Ronaldo Tremblay of Lewiston and Paul Tremblay of Auburn; four grandchildren, Steve, Tina, Joan and Danny; and four great grandchildren, Becky, Raymond, Nichole and Courtney. Mrs. Tremblay was pre-deceased by her loving husband, Raymond J. Tremblay, Feb. 5, 1995.
