AUBURN – An Auburn school bus driver has been suspended pending an investigation into allegations that he wouldn’t let a middle school student on the bus last week.
The father of the 13-year-old boy alleged Monday that the bus driver refused to let the boy on the bus because he is Somali.
Superintendent Barbara Eretzian said that a driver has been suspended with pay while the school system investigates the situation.
“We take any incident seriously and we look into it,” Eretzian said.
She declined to comment further, citing confidential personnel issues.
