The Democratic Party, the party of our forefathers, has betrayed its constituencies by becoming a liberal-oriented body. As a Catholic-Christian, I object to their shenanigans.
The Democratic National Committee is coddling the anti-Catholic scheming of Francis Kissling’s “Catholics for a Free Choice.” As its president, she has openly admitted that her goal is to “overthrow” the Catholic Church. Yet she claims to be Catholic. How deceitful can one be?
On March 27, 2003, in recognition of the U.S. participation in the war in Iraq, the House of Representatives voted 346-49 urging President Bush to declare a day of prayer and fasting, with 23 Democrats voting present. Would you believe that the 49 voting against were all Democratic, with 13 Catholics leading the pack?
On Sept. 26, 2000, the House of Representatives voted on the “Born Alive Infants Protection Act.” The bill would require doctors to give babies born alive during a botched abortion the same care offered to other babies. The vote was 380-15. Of the 15 who voted no, meaning they would allow a baby to die untreated by a doctor, seven of them, all Democrats, either voted against a day of prayer and fasting, or voted present. How do you like them apples?
