PARIS – An Otisfield man pleaded guilty last week in Oxford County Superior Court to charges of terrorizing and reckless conduct.

Michael Ziobrowski, 42, was sentenced to five years, all but one year suspended, and three years of probation after holding a gun on his wife March 29, 2002, at their Bell Hill Road home.

The woman called police, who found five firearms, all loaded, and several rounds of ammunition along with three knives.

The wife made a statement to police saying that Ziobrowski had planned to kill her, then himself, before he passed out on the couch with a .44 magnum across his chest. The woman was able to escape as he slept.

In another case, a Rumford man will spend the next 90 days in jail for operating a motor vehicle after license revocation. Charles Brown Jr., 85, of 27 Whippoorwill Road, Rumford, agreed to the two-year sentence, with a $500 fine and all but 90 days suspended, after he was stopped in Rumford March 23.

Brown’s license had been revoked in March of 1998 in Skowhegan District Court.

Michelle L. Kennison, 34, of 7 Lynn St., Norway, pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of her child March 20. Kennison was found guilty of burglary of a motor vehicle and theft for entering two cars parked at a school function and stealing a pocketbook, cash, credit cards and personal cards.

Kennison was sentenced to two years, all but 30 days suspended, and ordered to pay $271 in restitution. She was also ordered to take her medications as prescribed.
