SALEM – There will be an Admissions Night for Mt. Abrams High School seniors, parents and guardians at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, in the cafeteria.

A representative from Husson College will be presenting an informational program that will include the “ins” and “outs” of applying to college, financial aid information, deadlines and other pertinent information regarding college applications and other procedures dealing with post-secondary education. Seniors will benefit greatly if parents attend this session with them. It gives the students an important message.

There are also two new programs available to students this year. One will be the Regional Financial Aid Nights that will be held throughout Maine. These presentations are open to the public, free of charge, and will provide information on accessing financial aid resources for higher education expenses. Another program being provided this school year will be College Goal Sunday. This program will assist families in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, which is required for state and federal financial aid programs. This will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8 at different sites.

The guidance office at Mt. Abram High School has more information concerning these two resources. For more information, call Mike Ellis at the high school at 678-2701 extension 104.
