SOUTH PARIS – Boys and Girls State delegates, sponsored by the Foster-Carroll Post 72, American Legion, and Auxiliary, were honored at a supper with special guests and members of the post on Oct. 8.

Attending as officials of Boys and Girls State were Ronald Sailor, adjutant, American Legion Department of Maine, Boys State administrator; Michelle McRae, Boys State assistant administrator; and Nora Thombs, Girls State director.

Delegates who attended Boys State in 2003 were Levi Chouinard, Timothy Cole, Matthew Ney, James Petrovich and Seth McAlister. Chouinard and Cole attended the banquet. All three of the Girls State delegates, Jolene Bernard, Eliza Cummings and Rachel Holden, attended.

Each delegate, accompanied by family members, related their experiences during the sessions. The officials spoke about the goals and influence of the experience.
