LEWISTON – A woman escaped with minor injuries in a car crash that closed a long section of Randall Road on Wednesday.
Police said a woman crashed through a fence and then struck a tree after losing control of her vehicle while driving along Randall Road about 5:30 p.m.
Officers closed the road at Sabattus Street and at Pond Road on the other end. The road closure caused traffic tie ups on surrounding streets as late day commuter traffic flowed through the area.
The crash remained under investigation Wednesday night.
