LEWISTON – Holy Cross School celebrated a fall festival on Oct. 18. There were silent auction items, crafts, food, fun and games for everyone.

One of the employees of Holy Cross Parish created Mission Ascent, a non-competitive board game that introduces the player to the saints, Scripture and decision-making while having fun. Players are awarded prizes (bookmarks), that they keep and trade. Bookcase Publishing LLC is producing the game.

Two games were donated to the school, one by a senior of Holy Cross and the other by the Knights of Columbus. Mathieu Poulin, who kept coming back to the table to see the game, became one of the winners. For more information concerning Mission Ascent, log onto the Web at www.bookcasepublishing.com.
