1913 – 2003

LEWISTON – Maria Frost Coolidge, 90, of Congress Street, Lisbon died at Central Maine Medical Center Wednesday, Nov. 5.

Mrs. Coolidge was born in Wayne on March 14, 1913, the daughter of Archie and Josie (Clark) Frost. Mrs. Coolidge attended grade school in Wayne and was a graduate of Winthrop High School in 1931. On Dec. 24, 1945 she married Kenneth Coolidge and settled in Lisbon.

Mrs. Coolidge took employment at the Worumbo Mill, Sparks Department Store, the Lisbon Cemetery, and started M & T Ceramics which operated for over 10 years. Mrs. Coolidge attended services at the Vineyard Christain Fellowship and was a past member of the Rebecca’s Organization.

She had many interests including fishing, ceramics, beano, crocheting, and all crafts. She always looked forward to the next visit from her family for she loved spending time with all of them.

She is survived by three sons, Roland Coolidge and his wife Dawn of Wisconsin, John Moore and his wife Marilyn of Michigan, and William Coolidge and his wife Pauline of Lisbon; a daughter, Vivian Miller and her husband Gary of Michigan; 12 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Coolidge was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth in 1999; and her brother, William Frost.
