LEWISTON – St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center will hold a diabetes fair from 8 a.m. to noon Friday, Nov. 7, at the Lepage Conference Center, 99 Campus Ave. There will be free cholesterol and blood pressure screenings.

Topics such as “New Technologies,” “Getting Motivated” and “Basics of Carbohydrate Counting” will be presented. Vendors from various companies will be available. Call 777-8625 for more information.

Speakers will be Ed Manion, registered nurse Sandy Fletcher and Nicole Eckman.

There will be supermarket tours at Shaw’s from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. with Eckman. Call 777-8625 to reserve your spot for the screenings and the tours.

GOP women

LEWISTON – The Androscoggin County Republican Women’s Club will meet at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, at the Ramada Inn. All Republican women and guests are invited.

Toastmasters

LEWISTON – L/A Toastmasters Club 1741 will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the Bates Mill Complex, first floor conference room, 35 Canal St. The three speakers will be Don Miville, Perry Munroe and Shan Teixeira, and table topic master will be Nikki Wright. All club meetings are open to visitors and potential members. Club 1741 meets every other Tuesday each month. Y-Ettes speaker

LEWISTON – The Y-Ettes will meet at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the YWCA. Guest speaker will be Barbara Robinson from the Abused Women’s Shelter. Refreshments will be served by Bertha Norman, Flo Renaud and Irene Bonneau.

Bridge games

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Bridge Club winners at Schooner Estates on Nov. 5 were: first, Lucille Theriault and Bruce Murray; second, Mike Quinn and Les Buzzell; third, Jeanine Kivus and David Lock; fourth, Anna Vitiello and Gary Thompson
