LISBON – Lisbon Adult Education is inviting area residents to get in the holiday spirit through holiday courses offered during November and December.

A quick and easy pastry class where students will learn to hand-dip and decorate little cakes, will be offered from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19. The cost of the class is $5 with a materials fee of $4. Students enrolled in a gingerbread house class will make and decorate an old-fashioned gingerbread house from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17. The cost of the class is $5 and students purchase pre-baked kits at a local bakery for $8.

A family holiday decoration workshop will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9. The cost of the workshop is $5 and children attend free. Free coffee, tea and cocoa will be provided to all participants.

Late fall arts and crafts courses still have openings. A creative card-making class will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Friday, Dec. 12. Embroidery on cardstock class will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 on Monday, Dec. 1.

A rubber stamping class will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.on Monday, Nov. 17. A scrapbooking 101 class will meet from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5. Scrapbooking beyond the basics will meet from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21. A tea bag folding class will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15.

Arts and crafts classes cost from $10 to $12 per class. The classes are held at Mad Cat Crafts in Lisbon Falls.
