SOUTH PORTLAND – Carol A. Robitaille, director of Carol Ann’s Daycare Center, Inc., in Lewiston, has been named to the Maine Registry by Maine Roads to Quality: Child Care and Early Education Career Development Center at the Muskie School.
The Registry recognizes Robitaille’s experience, training, education and volunteer contributions to the early childhood profession. Robitaille will be required to document annual training in child care and early education to remain active on it. The Registry is voluntary and is designed to promote high quality child care and early education for young children and their families.
Carol Ann’s Daycare Center, Inc., has been providing child care since 1989. The facility has the capacity to accommodate up to 32 children between the ages of 6 weeks and 10 years old. Carol Ann’s Daycare Center, Inc., sponsors an apprenticeship training program with the State Apprenticeship and Training Council. The facility is also used by Central Maine Community College as a practicum site for students in the early childhood education field.
Robitaille received her associate’s degree in early childhood education from Central Maine Technical College. She is a member of the Day Care Connection and a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
