FARMINGTON – The appeals board is scheduled to meet Thursday to consider an appeal of a site review application.

Abutters have appealed the Planning Board’s approval – with conditions – of Mark and Heidi Goodwin’s application to renovate an existing, attached barn into two rental units, located at 247 High St.

The barn is attached to a duplex.

The Board of Appeals is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. downstairs in the Training Room at the Municipal Building.

Farmington Assistant Code Enforcement Officer Jane Ford said the Planning Board approved the Goodwins’ application this summer, but the board put several conditions on it. Those conditions include erecting a fence, planting shrubbery tall enough to screen vehicle lights, and taking measures to address drainage issues.

Among the abutters’ issues, Ford said, is they don’t feel there is adequate parking.

The appeal application was submitted by Steven and Betsy Brady, Ralph H. and Judith C. Granger, Holly W. Price, Roderick E. Prior and Peter and Marie Wade.
