1950 – 2003

BIG SPRING, Texas – Helena Haines Granados, 53, of Big Spring, Texas, formerly of Phillips, died Friday, Nov. 7, at home, following a long illness.

Born in Farmington, Feb. 27, 1950, she was a resident of Howard County, Texas for 10 years, after moving from Maine.

She lived in Maine most of her life and was a Methodist. She liked to care for her dogs and horses on her ranch and was employed as a laundry supervisor at a nursing home.

Survivors include her husband, Hector of Big Spring; two daughters, Sonya Gerry of Waterboro and Delia Perales of Midland, Texas; one son, Hector Granados Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister, Bonnie Cushman of Phillips; 14 grandchildren, Curtis and Caleb Gerry, Krystal, Enrique, Elvia, Shelby and Elijah Perales and Joni, Mark, Amber, Leticia, Hannah, Katherine and Erin Granados.

She was predeceased by her mother, Eleanor; and one daughter, Betty Granados.
