LEWISTON – Jeanne McLaughlin has been named executive director of the YWCA of Central Maine.
McLaughlin, a Maine native, has an extensive background in nonprofit organizations, including expertise in strategic planning, development, project management program development and fund-raising.
She has a master’s degree in education and is working on her doctorate. She is the recipient of several awards, including a community service award. She also holds a part-time faculty position in the University of Maine School of Nursing and teaches at the Lewiston-Auburn campus.
Before her arrival at the YWCA, she was chief executive officer/vice president of Mercy Health Systems, VNA Home Health Care, where she guided the organization through changes in operational processes and initiatives to enhance the health system.
The YWCA invites the public to join in welcoming McLaughlin at the 125th anniversary celebration and annual meeting at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the YWCA, 130 East Ave.
