Sooner or later, every state will have casino gambling. Why not have it now and get it over with? Why be the last state in the union to vote it in?

Maine has been last in everything for a 100 years, everything except unemployment, where it is among the first.

The state’s been in gambling for years with the state lottery. Look how much money is spent on advertising that: “You gotta play to win.”

So now who is going to get rich? The bus companies taking people to Foxwoods? The only way Maine makes any money is the tolls on the turnpike.

How many people left Maine last year looking for jobs? Sooner or later, potatoes will be the only thing left up there. You can only eat so may spuds.
