1958 – 2003

AUBURN – Kevin H. Brooks, 44, of Lewiston, was called from this earth on Thursday, Nov. 13, with family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Lewiston, Nov. 24, 1958, the son of Walter D. and Georgette A. Westleigh Brooks. He attended Lewiston schools and worked at LePage Bakery for 15 years until his illness forced him to retire in October 2002.

He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and spending time with his family, especially the children who were always excited to see Uncle Kevin.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. His family and friends take comfort in knowing he is in a better place and suffering no more.

He is survived by two daughters, Jessica Karcher of Lewiston and Nicki Karcher of Topsham; a grandson, Justin Karcher; a granddaughter, Haley Breton; his mother of Lewiston; five brothers, David and his wife Pam, Keith and his wife Lisa and Ricky all of Auburn, Perry of Lewiston and Bruce of Poland; three sisters, Wanda Davis and her husband of Randolph, Denise Webber and her husband of Lewiston and Bonnie of Auburn; seven nephews;16 nieces; and many grandnieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Walter in 1979; and a brother, Percy in 1966.
