I fail to see why it was necessary to embarrass two well-meaning women by putting their troubles on the front page (Nov. 11).

The animal control authorities were already aware of the situation in Hartford with the horses, and there was no need for an expose’.

I have noticed that some horse owners have a tendency to gossip and criticize, but I suppose that is universal.

I just find it sad that these women must be mortified to find their minor failings on the front page.
