Peru company honored for global marketing

PERU – The United States Department of Commerce honored Winderosa Gasket of Peru for its recent accomplishments in the Global Marketplace.

LoLisa Bonney, general manager of Winderosa Gasket, was presented the award directly from Secretary of Commerce Don Evans at a luncheon hosted by the Greater Portland Chamber of Commerce.

Secretary Evans was the keynote speaker and encouraged other businesses in Maine to use Winderosa Gasket as an example of the potential every business has to conquer the global market.

While accepting the award, Bonney thanked Secretary Evans, as well as Rod Rodrigue and his team at the Maine Manufacturing Extension Partnership, and Jeff Porter from the Department of Commerce Office located in the Maine International Trade Center in Portland.

Noting that these are two great resources for business expansion as well as export assistance, and she has been working with them for years. Bonney accepted the award on behalf of her partners Jay Windover, chief executive officer, and Rachel Carignan, as well as her staff.
