BETHEL – Monday’s meeting of selectmen at 7 p.m. Nov. 17 in the town office should move quickly.

The board is slated to discuss implementation of new, employee benefits and Maine State Retirement plans as well as to authorize construction of a short relocation of Taylor Smith Road and the sale of tax-acquired property on Flat Road to a bidder.

Other items include discussing a communication from John Laban about a requested sewer system development charge refund for the Bethel Inn and choosing a date to conduct a joint meeting with the Planning Board and Board of Appeals.

Routine business includes two public hearings, one to grant a liquor license renewal to Rebel Rec. Inc. and the other a victualer license renewal for Crossroads Diner and Deli.
