ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) – Bills running back Travis Henry does not know whether he will be able to play next week after cracking a bone in his lower right leg in Buffalo’s 12-10 loss to Houston on Sunday.

Henry was hurt late in the first half but returned after taking a painkiller and finished the game. He was wearing a temporary cast that went halfway up his calf and a protective boot as a precautionary measure.

“I’m worried about it, but the only thing I can do is pray about it and see how it feels tomorrow,” Henry said.

He added that he does not need surgery and rest is the only way for the bone to heal.

Coach Gregg Williams didn’t rule Henry out of next week’s game against Indianapolis.

“We’ll take it day by day,” Williams said.

It was a remarkable performance for Henry, who finished with 23 carries for 149 yards, with 10 of those carries and 34 yards coming after cracking his fibula. “It was sore, but when I was running it felt great,” Henry said.

Henry was injured after a 3-yard run up the middle inside the Texans’ 10. It appeared linebacker Jay Foreman rolled up on the back of Henry’s leg when he was down.

Henry had to be helped off the field, and was carted off for tests. Henry played through pain before, missing only one game earlier this season after he tore cartilage in his rib in Buffalo’s 17-7 loss at Miami on Sept. 21.

The Bills also lost safety Izell Reese, who sustained a concussion in the fourth quarter.

With Henry’s status uncertain, the Bills face the prospect of being without two of their top offensive threats. Receiver Eric Moulds, who leads the teams with 41 catches for 541 yards, missed Sunday’s game because of a groin injury.
