Nov. 10, 11:50 p.m.: Katie Gurney, 18, of 102 Roxbury Road, Mexico, and two passengers, Justine Blanchard and Jasmine Holmes, both 18, were injured when a deer ran onto Route 2 while Gurney was attempting to pass another car. Gurney tried to avoid the deer, hit the brakes of her 1989 Honda sedan, went off the road into a ditch, rolled over and landed in some trees. Med-Care Ambulance transported all three to Rumford Hospital. The Honda sustained $10,000 damage.

Nov. 7, 10:20 p.m.: Richard Breau, 23, of Dixfield, who was driving east on Route 2 in a 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck owned by Ranor, Inc., of Jay, was attempted to pass another vehicle near Rowe’s Take Out and apparently lost control of the truck, which traveled through a utility pole, shearing it off, struck the next utility pole, went up an embankment, hit ledges, rolled over and came to rest on its side in the westbound lane, 190 feet from point of impact with the first pole. Med-Care Ambulance medics treated Breau at the scene for cuts and abrasions. The pickup sustained $10,000 damage.
