PHILADELPHIA – Cuttino Mobley scored 19 points, and Yao Ming and Jim Jackson each added 12 to lead the Houston Rockets to a 74-66 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night.

The Rockets, who won for the seventh time in nine games, took a lead late in the first quarter and never trailed again. They led by as many as 15 in the fourth.

Wizards 106, Hawks 97

ATLANTA – Jarvis Hayes keyed a fourth-quarter run with a go-ahead 3-pointer and the Washington Wizards snapped a four-game losing streak with a 106-97 victory over the Atlanta Hawks.

Larry Hughes led the Wizards with 26 points, and Gilbert Arenas added 23.

DALLAS (AP) – Dirk Nowitzki overcame a slow start to energize a third-quarter rally, and Steve Nash had his first career triple-double to lead the Dallas Mavericks past the Portland Trail Blazers 105-98 Monday night.

Nowitzki, who made his first two shots and then went more than 27 minutes without scoring again, had 20 points.
