1953 – 2003

LEWISTON – Sarah C. Richard, 50, of Sopers Mill Road, Auburn died Sunday, Nov. 16, at Central Maine Medical Center after a sudden illness.

Born in Paola, Kan., on Oct. 17, 1953. She moved to Maine in 1972 where she spent the remainder of her life. She worked a number of odd jobs to support her family always being there for them when they needed her.

She enjoyed tending her peacocks, gardening and playing poker on the computer also enjoyed boating on the Kennebec River and Damariscotta Lake. Other interests included mud running and camping.

She is survived by her companion of over 10 years, Richard Bernatchez; three children, Joseph Richard, Christine Richard and Nicholas Richard; two brothers; two sisters; her parents; and one granddaughter, Maya Michaud.
