NORWAY – Stephens Memorial Hospital will hold an open house to celebrate its addition from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 22, in the hospital lobby. Refreshments and tours will be offered.

Bake sale

NORWAY – The Norway Trackers Snowmobile Club will hold a bake sale Saturday, Nov. 22, during the DECA Craft Fair at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. The club will sell home-baked goods and raffle tickets for a chance to win a Christmas dinner basket. The Norway Trackers with the Maine Snowmobile Association also has available raffle tickets with a grand prize of two snowmobiles and a trailer, or a chance to win up to three other snowmobiles and other prizes. Old Home Sunday

PARIS – The First Congregational Church will hold its “Old Home Sunday” at 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at the church, 17 East Main St., across from Fox Elementary School. The special service is held to give thanks for connections to each other, to church, and to God. The church is handicap accessible. Sunday school also at 10 a.m.

PARIS – The annual Thanksgiving Service sponsored by the Oxford Hills Area Clergy Association will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at the First Congregational Church at 17 East Main St., across from Fox Elementary School. Blood drive

OXFORD – There will be an American Red Cross blood drive from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at the Hosanna Church, 109 Schoolhouse Road. Donors must be at least 17 years of age, in general good health, and weigh at least 110 pounds. FMI call 1-800-482-0743.

Quilting classes

NORWAY – The Norway Memorial Library is inviting children ages 7 to 12 to sign up for quilting classes held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Dec. 2, 9 and 16, at the library on Main Street. Barbara Frost, western Maine representative for the Pine Tree Quilter’s and program chairman for the Pine Needle Quilters of Norway and Paris, will teach the classes. On Dec. 2, children will choose fabric of their choice to make a potholder and begin to sew the potholder together. On Dec. 9, children will begin to quilt. At the Dec. 16 session, children will sew on labels and ring to hang the potholders. Space is limited to 10 children. Preregistration is necessary. Deadline for registering is Friday, Nov. 28.
