LEWISTON – Russell M. Rodrigue has been named a senior vice president in the Information Technology Department at Banknorth Group Inc. An architecture and design manager, he will continue to be responsible for developing enterprise architecture and infrastructure standards, systems design and technical strategy.

Rodrigue joined Banknorth in 1998. He previously served as a technology planning manager, design engineer and network manager. He is a Microsoft certified systems engineer.

A Litchfield resident, Rodrigue serves on the Technical Working Group for the Gulf of Maine Research Institute in Portland and the advisory board for Fellowship Church in Greene, and volunteers with WMSJ radio in Freeport. He is a 1991 graduate of the University of Maine in Orono. Originally from Lewiston, Rodrigue is a 1987 graduate of Lewiston High School.

Trade expo

LEWISTON – The Androscoggin chapter of the Maine Women’s Network presents the first Women’s Trade Expo on Dec. 5 at L-A College, Westminster Street. Lunch will be catered by Manic Designs from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The cost is $10 for members and $12 for nonmembers. The Trade Expo will be open to the public from 1 to 7 p.m. with several exhibitors that are owned and managed by Maine women.

There will be special guest appearances by Jayne Garrett, author of “Adventures in Menopause,” and television producers Kathleen Alfiero and Patsy Wiggins.

Exhibit tables are still available for businesses that would like to showcase their products and services. Advanced registration and payment for lunch is required.
