BELFAST – The National Wheelchair Curling Championship is set for the Belfast Curling Club this weekend. The times are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday through Sunday.
Teams from Belfast and Utica, N.Y., will be competing to determine which team represents the United States at the World Wheelchair Curling Championship in Sursee, Switzerland, Jan. 19-24.
Wheelchair curling will be included in the paralympic 2006 Winter Games in Torino, Italy.
The Belfast Curling Club is located on Route 3, two miles west of Route 1.
