The identity of the adult male suspect will not be released while the investigation continues Monday.
LISBON – “Human element” was blamed for a quick-moving fire early Friday morning that destroyed an unoccupied fifth-wheel camper trailer at 646 Lisbon Road in Lisbon Falls, according to Fire Chief P. Sean Galipeau.
An adult male has been identified in connection with the blaze by Police Detective Bill Tapley, who is working with the State Fire Marshal’s office on the case, Galipeau said.
The identity of the man will not be released pending further investigation, which will continue on Monday.
Chief Galipeau said numerous 911 calls were received shortly before 1 a.m. Friday reporting a trailer parked near a building on the corner of Pleasant Street and Route 196, a residential neighborhood, was on fire.
The trailer was engulfed in flames when the first firefighter, Deputy Chief Mike Robitaille, arrived at the scene.
Galipeau reported that the loss was estimated at between $15,000 and $20,000. The trailer is owned by a Canadian firm, he said.
