FARMINGTON – Jon Cordey poured in a game-high 23 points, including three 3-pointers, and hauled down 16 rebounds to lead the University of Maine at Farmington to a 75-73 win over Thomas College in the consolation game of the Hight Chevrolet Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

Adam Rich drained 22 points to pace the Terriers (0-2).

Ithaca 81, USM 72

HARTFORD, Conn. – Brian Andruskiewicz scored a game-high 20 points to pace four players in double figures as Ithaca beat Southern Maine 81-72 in the consolation round of the Trinity College Tip-Off Tournament.

Tyler Schultz (18 points), Jesse Roth (17), and Jim Bellis (11) rounded out the scoring leaders for the Bombers (1-1).

Jason Levecque tallied 19 points to lead the Huskies (0-2). He also dished out five assists. Mike Francoeur added 13 points, while Jay Casterella and Bill Hardwick dropped in 10 points apiece.

Mt. St. Mary’s 74, St. Joseph’s 64

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Mike Hoyt and Sergio Guzman scored 14 points apiece to lead Mount St. Mary’s to a 74-64 win over St. Joseph’s College. Shawn Coffey chipped in 13 points while Brendan Twomey added 10 for Mt. St. Mary’s. Leroy Gore paced the Monks (0-2) with a game-high 16 points. Mike Stallings added 12 .

Colby 77, Mass. College 65

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – Andrew Jackson drained a game-high 25 points and hauled down 11 rebounds to lead Colby to a 77-66 win over Massachusetts College in the consolation game of the Nancy K. Sulinski Memorial Tournament Saturday.

Pat McGowan and Nate Dick added 17 and 14 points, respectively, for the White Mules.

Glenn Mills paced Massachusetts College with 18 points.

Hockey

St. Anselm 4, Bowdoin 3

BRUNSWICK – Ryan Nolin scored the eventual game-winning goal to lead St. Anselm to a 4-3 win over Bowdoin in men’s ice hockey.

Jonny Williams and Aaron Crear gave the Hawks a 2-0 lead. Andy Nelson deficit to 2-1 heading into the second frame.

Goalie Jim Merola made 31 saves for the Hawks (1-1), while Mile Healey stopped 28 for the Polar Bears.

Wesleyan 3, USM 0

GORHAM – Senior forward Casey Benny scored a goal and added an assist to lead Wesleyan to a 3-0 shutout of Southern Maine in ECAC East action.

The Cardinals (1-1) scored their opening goal at 6:54 of the second period when senior Steve Bogosian collected the rebound and deposited the puck inside the near post. Freshman Will Bennett tallied a goal midway through the third period, and Benny added an unassisted goal at 17:37.

Huskies goalie Stuart Fricke made 18 saves.
