29 PARIS/NORWAY Annual Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade, 11 a.m., Market Square, Paris, ending at the head of Main Street in Norway. The theme is “Winter Wonderland” and will include the “World’s Largest Snowshoe” and of course, Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus. Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be at the Norway Fire Station immediately following the parade .Tree lighting, 5 p.m. at the town Christmas tree located at the beginning of Lake Pennesseewassee in Norway.

29 NORWAY The Mahoosuc Community Band will perform at the Norway Memorial Library at 2:30 p.m. Admission is free and all are welcome. Sponsored by the Norway Business Association.

29 NORWAY Window decorating with the Winter Wonderland theme will be held at the Main Street Businesses. Shoppers are encouraged to stop into participating merchants and vote for the People’s Choice Award.

29 NORWAY The annual “Ringing of the Bells” will take place at 4:30 p.m. by the Main Street Merchants and “Jule Nisse” a Norwegian Christmas Gnome will be visiting on Main Street throughout the day.

29 PARIS A Cranberry Wreath Workshop will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at the McLaughlin Gardens located at 97 Main Street. A fee of $20 is charged and includes all materials needed to make one 12″ wreath and refreshments will be served. For a reservation call 743-8820.

4 PARIS – Annual Christmas Open House at the Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Open to the public and refreshements will be served.

5 NORWAY – Annual Christmas tree lighting at Stephens Memorial Hospital will take place at the hospital at 5 p.m. Members of the Oxford Hills Band will play seasonal music and refreshments will be available after the lighting. Memorial/Honor lights are available at $5, please call 743-5933.

6, 13, 20 NORWAY – Breakfast with Santa will be held at the Masonic Lodge on Temple Street at 9 a.m. Reservations are required and may be made by calling Wendy Williams at 527-2351.

6 PARIS – Learn how to use greens, fruits, objects and flowers to decorate your homes, mantles and tables for the holidays at McLaughlin Gardens with designer and gardener, Michael Desplaines of Copperline Ranch. Bring a favorite container to take home a centerpiece. The $25 fee will cover all materials needed and refreshments will be served. Spaces are limited, please pre-register call 743-8820.

7 PARIS – Holiday Greens Wreath Calss from 1-3 p.m. at McLaughlin Gardens Learn how to make holiday wreaths using a variety of greens, fruits and vines with designer and gardener, Michael Desplaines of Copperline Ranch. The $25 fee will cover all marteials and refreshments. A $45 fee will cover both the Dec. 6 and Dec. 7 workshops. Pre-registration is required by calling 743-8820.

7 NORWAY – First Annual Candle-light Christmas Concert and hanging of the greens will take place at the Second Congregational Church on the corner of Main and Paris Streets at 3 p.m. All are welcome.

11-14 PARIS – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Come visit the McLaughlin Barn decked out for the Holidays. nside you’ll find a variety of dwarf and full-size conifers and models of Grand Trunk, Maine Centgral and Bridgton/Saco train stations build by SAD 17 kids and an extensive garden railway system set up the the Maine Garden Railway Society. Tickets: $3 adult, $1 children under 12.

12 PARIS – Annual Christmas Tree lighting will take place at 7 p.m. Music will be provided by the Viking Voices. Refreshments will be served in the Activity all purpose room following the three lighting. Memorial/Honor lights for the “Tree of Caring” are avialable for $5. Contact Florence McLaughlin, 674-2992.

12 & 13 PARIS – Maurice Dance Theater will present “Home for the Holidays” at the Oxford HIlls Comprehensive High School auditorium at 7 p.m. on each day. Tickets are available at the door for $6.

13 PARIS – Holiday Baking for Kids from 10 a.m. to noon at McLaughlin Gardens. Parents can enjoy the Trees and tRains exhibit while kids ages 5-8 learn how to bake fun holiday cookies. $5 includes ticket to the exhibit. Participants will take home a bakers dozen. Space is limited, please pre-register by calling 743-8820.

19 NORWAY The first ever “Torch Light” and carol sing will be held at 6 p.m. starting at 6 p.m. at the Second Congregational Church and proceeding through Norway’s side streets, down Main Street and back to the church. The 100% foot-powered parade will have no open flame. Flashlights will be the source of light and song books will be provided. Sponsored by the Norway Business Association. 24 NORWAY – The Annual Christmas Eve Ringing of the Bells will take place on Main Street at 4:00 p.m. Please come out and join the Norway Business Association in withing the community Happy Holidays.
