SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Brian Yocono of Leeds is serving as a student tour guide at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pa.

To be a tour guide, student go through an application process and an interview session with admissions staff. If selected, a training session taught by veteran tour guides and members of the admissions team is also required.

Throughout the semester, tour guides give a minimum of two tours a week, in addition to assisting at special events such as open houses. The guides are responsible for showing prospective students and their families around the campus and answering questions that the students of families may have.

Yocono, a senior broadcasting major, also participates in the crew team and Lambda Pi Eta communications honor society. He is a hometown writer for the Office of Public Relations and is a disc jockey for the campus radio station WQSU-FM.

A 2000 graduate of Leavitt Area High School, he is the son of Frank and Nancy Yocono.
