1924 – 2003

AUBURN – Ida B. Lindquist, 79, of 20 Sunset Court, Auburn, died peacefully at her home Monday afternoon, Nov. 24, surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born in Auburn on July 21, 1924, the daughter of Mark Lester and Victoria S. Buzzell Burgess. She graduated from Leavitt Institute in Turner. On Oct. 27, 1947, she was married to Victor A. Lindquist Jr. who died Sept. 15, 2001.

She had worked as an Insurance Underwriter for Cobb-Winslow of Lewiston. She was a member of The United Methodist Church of Auburn and had attended the Methodist Church in Livermore. She loved her New England sports teams, especially the Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots.

She also followed closely the activities of her family. She enjoyed bridge, cribbage, crossword puzzles and watching and caring for her birds.

She is survived by a daughter, Paula Cutter and her husband Michael of Winthrop; a son, Victor A. Lindquist III and his wife Carol of Poland Spring; six grandchildren, Adam, Jamison, Aaron, and Neil Cutter, Becky and Katie Lindquist; a sister, Elsie Lepage and her husband Robert of Bath; also her loving and caring neighbors and friends.

She was predeceased by four brothers; and a sister.
