Pamela Hallowell-Jordan entered the junior division of a poetry contest sponsored by the Maine State Grange Lecturers Committee.
She was presented three first place ribbons in Augusta by Maine State Grange Lecturers Chairman Rick Grotton for her entries in Friendship, Inspiration and other categories.
Grotton also presented her with a third place ribbon for the amount of books she had read in a year.
Hallowell-Jordan is a freshmen at Leavitt Area High School in Turner. She is the daughter of Jeanie Cote from Greene and Scott Jordan of Poland.
