AUBURN – Michelle S. Hamann of Auburn, daughter of Pierre A. and Susanne M. Landry Hamann, has been selected to participate in the 2004 Miss Maine Teen USA Pageant. The pageant, a two-day event, will be Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 29 and 30, at the Sheraton Tara Hotel, South Portland.

Each delegate will be judged in swimsuit, evening gown and personal interview categories. The winner will represent the Pine Tree State in the NBC-televised Miss Teen USA pageant in 2004. Among state prizes will be cash, evening gown, wardrobe and modeling scholarship as well as an expense-paid trip to the national pageant where she will compete for the title of Miss Teen USA and $150,000 in cash and prizes.

Hamann is a student at St. Dominic Regional High School. She is being sponsored by family, friends and local businesses. She invites everyone to attend Saturday’s preliminary at 8 p.m. and Sunday’s final competition at 1 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.
