LEWISTON – Community Credit Union has hired Denis Mailhot as its new collections officer.

In his new position, Mailhot will be responsible for working collection accounts and assist in business development at the credit union.

Most recently Mailhot served as the full-time director of the capital campaign for the new St. Dominic Regional High School.

Mailhot holds degrees in business administration from the University of Maine at Augusta and a master’s degree in pastoral studies from Loyola University in New Orleans.

He worked at Fleet Bank for 26 years as community and economic development officer for the Northern New England Region. He is a board member of the Franco-American Heritage Center at St. Mary’s and a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, Andy Valley Council 8742.

He and his wife, Jeanne, reside in Auburn and have three grown children. Mailhot is also an ordained permanent deacon in the Diocese of Portland, currently assigned to Sacred Heart, St. Philip and St. Louis parishes.
