DURHAM, N.H. (AP) – Elias Godoy scored three goals and assisted on another to lead UMass-Lowell in Tuesday night’s 5-4 Hockey East victory over third-ranked New Hampshire.

UNH falls to 8-3-1 overall and 5-2-1 in the league while UMass-Lowell is 6-4-3, 4-3-1.

With the two teams tied 4-4, Godoy completed his hat trick at 16:03 of the third period to give the River Hawks a 5-4 lead.

UNH goalie Mike Ayers, who had 23 saves, was pulled for an extra skater with 31 seconds to play but UNH failed to score. UMass-Lowell goalie Chris Davidson had 16 saves.

Scoring for UNH were Brian Yandle, Brett Hemingway, Tim Horst and Mike Lubesnick. Cleve Kinley and Danny O’Brien scored for UMass-Lowell.
