It’s a product that brings new meaning to the term “head-lights.” BraidLights are a new faux hair extension accessory that sports five blinking LED lights within the braid. BraidLights are made out of a soft, flexible material that attaches to the user’s hair with a metal comb clip. The intermittently flashing red, orange, blue, green and red lights are powered by watch size batteries that provide more than 24 hours of continuous flashing. The faux braids look like real braids when attached to the hair and come in four colors – brown, blond, black and glitter pink.

BraidLights are the latest fashion flash from Beyond Mars. “Flashing fashion is still a hit with people of all ages,” says BraidLights inventor Gary Kellmann. “The more innovative a flashing product is, like the BraidLights, the more the consumer is attracted to it. Our early wave of sales is already proving that.” As of September, 2003 about a half-million BraidLights have been sold, and the company’s marketing plan hasn’t even been fully launched yet.

BraidLights retail for $9.95 and come with four long lasting batteries for convenient refills. They can be found at CVS, Walgreens and many novelty shops, boutiques and beauty salons. For more information or nearest store locations call (636) 949-9049 .
