LEWISTON – City groups will sponsor a free Holiday Skate Night at the Central Maine Civic Center from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3.

Holiday music will be provided, and there will be no charge for skate rentals for children. Adult skates will be available for $2.

“Each year, this event is greatly enjoyed by attendees, and we again look forward to community members gathering together for a fun-filled evening of skating,” said Recreation and Parks Director Maggie Chisholm.

In addition to skating, free face painting and jewelry beading will be available at the Civic Center on Birch Street.

Groups involved in this year’s event are the Lewiston Recreation and Parks Department, Lewiston Fire Department, Lewiston Police Department, New Beginnings, Volunteers of America, Lewiston Regional Technical Center Law Enforcement Cadets, L/A Youth Hockey Cheerleaders and Face Painting by Deanna Nadeau.
