DIXFIELD – Dixfield Historical Society members and guests met at the home of Daniel and Charlotte Louvat, Weld Street, to enjoy an open house tour of the old Frank Stanley home.

Peter Russell Stowell of Gardiner presented his book, “The Frank Stanley Scrapbook,” to the society. Stowell researched various aspects of the Stanley family of Dixfield whose first cousins were the Stanley twins of Kingfield. He spoke of the connection between the families and of the important impact Frank and Henry Stanley had on the town of Dixfield. Stowell also gave all rights and proceeds from his book to the Dixfield Historical Society. The book is available for $15.
