MANCHESTER, N.H. – Laurier A. Tancrel, 77, of Hooksett, N.H., died Nov. 26, at Catholic Medical Center, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Lewiston, Jan. 23, 1926, he was the son of Alfred and Rose (Levasseur) Tancrel. He was educated in the Lewiston school system. He had been a Hooksett, N.H., resident the past 35 years.

Mr. Tancrel worked as a masonry contractor for more than 30 years. He had been a member of the Brick Layer’s Union for over 50 years.

Family members include his wife, Sylvia (Bourgoin) Tancrel of Hooksett; four daughters, Debra O’Donnell of Manchester, N.H., Alison Sweeney of Hooksett, N.H., Renee Thibeault of Manchester, N.H., and Pauline King of Goffstown, N.H.; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandson; four sisters, Beatrice Wailus of Greene, Rose Fredstrom of Sagle, Idaho, Sister Wilda Tancrel of Sherbrooke, Canada, and Connie Doiron of South Portland; two brothers, Bertrand Tancrel of Franklin, and Norman Tancrel of Greene; nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by four children, Jeffrey Tancrel, Michael Raymond, James Raymond, and Susan Correia; and a granddaughter, Audrey.
