Carol singing

WATERFORD – The Friends of the Waterford Library are holding their annual Christmas carol sing at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13. All are invited. Participants should gather at the lighted tree on the green in Waterford Flat for candlelight singing.

Refreshments will follow in the library with a possible visit from Santa.

Food pantry

BRIDGTON – Shawnee Peak Ski Area is joining Ski Maine and its member mountains in the Tin Mountain Round-Up program to help local community food banks.

The scheduled opening weekend, Dec. 13 and 14, will be dedicated to an all out food drive.

The ski area will offer a $15 lift ticket to anyone who brings in three non-perishable food items to the ticket window. All food items will be donated to the Bridgton Food Pantry, which serves hundreds of families each week from Harrison, Bridgton, Fryeburg, Naples, Denmark and Sweden.
