WEST PARIS – The West Paris Tree Lighting Committee invites the public to participate in the Sunday, Dec. 7th, parade and activities. The event organizer is Lisa Kurtz.
Participants will line up at the Agnes Gray School at 4:45 p.m. and will step off at 5. Marchers will go from the school to the Christmas tree behind the General Store. At 5:15, lights will be turned on and songs will be sung.
Free movie tickets will be given to three students who make the best holiday poster. This year’s poster theme is “The Real Meaning of Christmas.” Judging will be held at 4 p.m. in the fire station prior to the parade.
The best dressed holiday dog will receive a bone, with all other dog entries receiving a free biscuit! The dog judging will be held outside the fire station at 4:15.
A craft fair and food sale will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. in the West Paris Fire Hall.
There will be horse and wagon rides with Santa and Mrs. Claus from 5:15 to 7 p.m.
