1945-2003
ALBION – Roger J. Touchette, 58, of Albion, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday evening, Nov. 25, 2003, at his home in Albion.
Born in Rumford, Nov. 18, 1945, he was a son of Peter and Thelma (Ladd) Touchette. On Nov. 19, 1967, he married his best friend, Isabelle L. Timberlake. As a young man, he entered the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. He was employed as an electrician for 30 years at Maine Central Railroad.
He was an avid sportsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed camping. He enjoyed spending time at his camp at Ragged Lake in the Moosehead region. He loved being with his family, especially his six grandchildren. He lived life to its fullest.
Survivors include: his wife of 37 years, Isabelle L. Touchette of Albion; his two sons, Barry Touchette and his wife, Dodi, of Thorndike and Warren Touchette and his wife, Laurie, of Canaan; his six grandchildren, Brittany, Manson and Kyle of Thorndike and Jessica, Christopher and Megan, all of Canaan; his mother-in-law, Eleanor Cammett, who resided with him and his wife of Albion; a sister, Sally Bryant and her husband, Bob, of Canton; and two nieces and their families and two nephews and their families.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Freddie Touchette.
