Children will search downtown Auburn for the answers and a toy prize to boot from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29. The city of Auburn will host the fifth annual toy scavenger hunt as part of the holiday ceremonies at Festival Plaza.

The questions range from easy to difficult and all have a holiday twist. The hunt will start at the Roak Block Community Room on Main Street where children will be given a question sheet. Seven downtown businesses will hold the answers.

As children make their way to each business they will be treated to popcorn, cookies, hot chocolate and other treats.

Once their question sheet is full they can return to the Community Room to choose one of the many toy prizes, from Legos to baby dolls.

Other activities will include arts and crafts, a Christmas movie, a train display, a moon bounce and a performance of the “Nutcracker” at Festival Plaza.

Santa will arrive at 5:30 p.m. to light the city’s 40-foot Christmas tree and greet children.
