Dear Sun Spots: Thanks for all the great information. I was wondering if you or Sun Journal readers would know of any stone or rustic looking chapels, churches, or other locations that would be available for weddings and/or receptions in the Lewiston/Auburn area?

Also, several years ago Kodak Film aired commercials with the song “Daddy’s Little Girl.” Could you please find out who that artist was and if the song is available for purchase. Thanks in advance. – No Name, No Town.

Answer:
Several colleagues had the following recommendations for a reader with a similar request May 15: One option might be the Thorncrag Bird Sanctuary on Highland Spring Road. Another is Range Ponds State Park between Poland and Poland Spring. You could contact them at (207) 998-4104. There are also areas of Lake Auburn that are very scenic and pretty and could be a potential site for the wedding. The Bates College chapel seems to be another favorite among couples. Sun Spots wishes you the best of luck in your search. In addition, perhaps there are also other readers out there who know of other special places they might be willing to recommend to this mother.

Sun Spots believes this may be the song: Daddy’s Little Girl, by Frank Fontaine. Words and Music by Bobby Burke and Horace Gerlach.

You’re the end of the rainbow, my pot of gold

You’re daddy’s little girl to have and to hold

A precious gem is what you are

You’re mommy’s bright and shining star

You’re the spirit of Christmas, my star on the tree

You’re the Easter Bunny to mommy and me

You’re sugar, you’re spice, you’re everything nice

And you’re daddy’s little girl

You’re the treasure I cherish, so sparkling and bright

You were touched by the holy and beautiful light

Like angels that sing, a heavenly thing

And you’re daddy’s little girl

Dear Sun Spots: Please rerun my request for Avon’s “Pavi Elle” cologne or perfume. I can be reached at 779-0687. – E.B., Farmington.

Dear Sun Spots: You have been so helpful to many of your readers that I hope you will be able to help me. I am looking for a hair salon that has hair extensions, hopefully in Maine. – G.L., Lewiston.
