• Nov. 28 – Sometime between the night of Nov. 27 and morning of Nov. 28, someone broke a $65 tail light on a car parked on Somerset Street.
• Nov. 27 – No charges have been filed in a criminal mischief incident that occurred on Nov. 26 but wasn’t reported until Thanksgiving Day. A young man allegedly punched a hole in the wall of a Maine Avenue apartment while leaving. Police are waiting to speak with the landlord to determine if charges will be filed.
• Nov. 25, 2:28 p.m. – A 1994 GMC pickup truck driven by Joanne Packard, 63, of Rumford sustained $4,000 damage when it was broadsided on Maine Avenue by a 2000 Buick sedan driven by Anthony Karpen, 79, of Rumford. Karpen reportedly stopped at a stop sign on Penobscot Street, then proceeded forward. Karpen’s Buick sustained $3,000 damage and was towed by Bisson and Hebert. Although there were no injuries, Med-Care Ambulance paramedics checked both drivers.
Arrests
• Dennis Burt, 51, of Rumford, on a charge of domestic assault, on Nov. 27. He was released on $500 unsecured bail.
Summons
• Gary Scott, 24, of Peru, on a charge of failure to display a valid inspection sticker and failure to provide evidence of insurance, on Nov. 27.
• Tasha Morton, 21, of Rumford, on a charge of operating an unregistered motor vehicle, on Nov. 27.
• Nicholas Henry, 19, of Carthage, on a charge of criminal speed, for traveling 58 mph in a 25 mph zone on Wyman Hill Road, on Nov. 26.
