If President Bush wanted to show his support for the soldiers, he would have been visiting the dead and wounded troops that are sent home under the cover of night instead of sneaking into Baghdad for a Thanksgiving Day stunt. A lot of confidence that shows in the security.

If he was there to spur on Iraqi freedom, he should have spent more time there than 2 1/2 hours (about the time it takes to re-fuel his plane, or for the average person to check into an airport and go through security) and personally addressed the Iraqi people. He could have at least instructed the troops to respect the security of those people and the sacrifices they have made, instead of blustering about “staying on the offensive.” Offensive, indeed.

Let’s hope next year we can be thankful that soon we will have a president that has his head screwed on right and be able to start in on the long haul of repairing our country and it’s growing bad reputation in the world.
