LEWISTON – Cindy Bradbury, owner of Hair Connection, and her staff raised $700 during their third annual fund-raiser for Advocates for Children. The money will be spent on programming.

Among the agency’s many programs are school-based education programs on bullying and personal safety, Healthy Families Androscoggin and the Parent Resource Center.

Five hairstylists spent their Sunday afternoon cutting hair for donations. For the last three years, the Hair Connection has done the fund-raiser and donated the profits to an agency in need.

Anyone who would like additional information on the fund-raiser or is considering having a business participate in a similar activity should contact Barbara Lovejoy at 783-3990 or e-mail [email protected].

Advocates has been providing support and education to the children and families of Androscoggin County for 25 years. It is a participating United Way agency.
